Re: Bloomer Invitational Track Meet – Tuesday, May 3, 2011
We are eagerly looking
forward to hosting our invitational track meet again this spring. Five years ago we opened our new track
facility, which includes the all-weather surface. By hosting this invitational, we hope to
gain experience for hosting the Heart of the North Conference meet and a
Division 2 regional meet later this spring.
Please read the following information and share it with your boys and
girls track coaches. Feel free to call

Entries
The limit per team per event
is three (3). An individual may enter in
a maximum of four (4) events but no more than three (3) running events or three
(3) field events.
Boys and Girls relay teams
may enter one (1) relay team for
each relay (3200, 1600, 800 and 400).
All entries will be done
online by going to the following website:
www.pttiming.com. You will be able to make changes to your
roster as you please until the deadline.
Once entries close, your roster is final. You will go to the events page and click
“online entries” for our invitational.
Entries Open: 12:00 noon Monday, April 25
Entries Close: 12:00 midnight Sunday, May 1
Heat Sheets Posted: 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 3
BE SURE TO CHECK OVER ALL ENTRIES BEFORE THE DEADLINE,
AS WE WILL NOT MAKE ADDITIONS ON THE DAY OF THE MEET – SCRATCHES ONLY AFTER THE
ENTRY DEADLINE.

Awards
Ribbons will be awarded to
the top 3 finishers and top 3 relay teams in each event. Trophies will be awarded to the first place boys’
team and the first place girls’ team.
Scoring
Eight places will be scored
in individual events and in relays (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1).
Facilities
The track is a 400 meter
all-weather surface with nine (9) lanes on the straightaway and eight (8) lanes
around the curves. ¼ inch pyramid spikes
are permitted for all events.
Bivouac areas for teams must
be on the outside of the track. The infield area will be closed to all,
including coaches, except for meet officials and competitors checking in
for their events. Coaches acting as
exchange zone judges will be allowed on the infield during that time only.
Bus parking will be available
in the parking lot north of the middle school.
Concessions and bathroom
facilities will be available on the west side of the track complex.
